In my ongoing series Ectoplasm Portraits, I channel grief and catharsis, capturing these intense emotions as they appear in ethereal ectoplasmic forms. Drawing inspiration from conceptual approaches of 19th and 20th century spirit photography. I use film photography and darkroom processes to develop my own techniques and craft visual-poetics. Through this, my aim is to provoke deep connections between spiritual and visual mediums. I convey the mysterious intricacies of human emotions. These contemporary explorations provide a tangible connection to the mystical, drawing on the tapestry of occultism, spiritualism, and the evolving methodologies of mediumship. Each frame, a snapshot of a moment in which the spirit and the corporeal world converge, offers glimpses into transcendence.
