In this ongoing series, I channel grief and catharsis as they appear in ethereal, mark-making form. Drawing from the conceptual approaches of 19th & 20th century spirit photography. I use film photography and darkroom processess to craft each portrait as artifact. Through this, my aim is to provoke deep stimuli between the print and the subject material. These contemporary photographic investigations provide a photographic connection to the mystical. Each frame in which the spirit and the corporeal world converge offers glimpses into transcendence.
